If you can receive and view these emails on other devices, then, for some reason, Gmail is not receiving emails on your iPhone. Some brief service outages might not appear on a system status. I have tried deleting prefs, deleting my Gmail account in Internet Accounts, turning on and off two step verification, and nothing has worked.
